SCVR Road Captain - Randy Holland
Here is an update on what is going on…
Saturday June 25th- Have a heart run- 115 mile poker run- 5 stops- food, camping and entertainment. I am looking forward to a good turnout.
Saturday July 9th- Round Barn Run- 175 mile or 135 mile scenic tour of Wisconsin backcountry with 6 stops and dinner, entertainment and camping after the ride. This event could use more volunteers to work the gate, serving, fencing, etc. Please contact me at hollandwar@embarqmail.com if you would like to volunteer to help out.
Saturday August 27th- Leinenkugel Brewery tour- Day ride out and back- tour of brewery, hospitality room and lunch to follow. This ride is members only and the sign up is already at 40 so please come to the next meeting if you are not already signed up.
Friday September 9th-11th, SCVR Chili Feed. Three days of food, music, vendors, camping and more. I will be hosting the ROAD CAPTAINS POKER RUN on Saturday morning (10:30ish). This event can also use some more volunteers in all areas. This is our #1 fundraiser and we can use help with set up, teardown, security, gates, serving etc. Please contact the Volunteer Coordinator at hollandwar@embarqmail.com if you can help out.
I would also like to plug the Hot Wings Tour- I have heard this is a great time, camping, food and beautiful riding up north. July 22-24th. Check out the SCVR Calendar Page for details.
We have lost a few fellow riders recently our thoughts go out to their friends and families. Please ride smart, stay safe and keep it between the lines.
THANK YOU to ALL for your time and effort in making S.C.V.R. what it is today. This organization has seen a lot of great people join and contribute to its success over the past years and I am looking forward to meeting a lot of new faces on this year’s upcoming events.
